Mr. Chubs always sleeps

I simply cannot stop taking pictures of these kids! Henry asleep in my arms, Claire out and about being wild and adorable are moments I don't want to miss. Thank God for my iphone, I have a camera with me literally ALL the time! My iphone has over 1,000 pictures on it of them, being cute and adorable.

My little Chef

Claire has discovered a love for helping out in the kitchen. We have baked lots of cakes, cookies and brownies. She loves making cupcakes, especially blue "cakes" with Grammy. She loves to get her hands into things so at my moms I was making egg rolls and decided to recruit her 'help'. She did awesome! I showed her how to make one, and then she said "Momma, no help me!". So off she went, making egg rolls for dinner. They were not so aesthetically pleasing, but they were delish! I laid down the wrapper, put the filling in and she carefully folded the corners, using water to seal the ends and then would roll them. It was beyond adorable! I look forward to having a helper in the kitchen someday.

First Haircut

Henry was born with a full head of dark hair. It is too adorable. However, he came out needing a little trim. Since he came with me for my hair appointment , I decided my good friend Kim (my hairdresser) could do the job. Of course, as usual, he just slept and looked adorable. Claire has yet to have her first haircut, so this was my first experience too!

Squirrels!

The rain is just non stop these days. Meaning outside play is just not happening right now, and our little Miss Claire needs and loves to run around! Needless to say, we have been thinking of whatever we can do to entertain ourselves inside. This morning we were looking for wildlife outside her bedroom window. We spotted several squirrels and once I said "Look Claire, a squirrel!", Max had to jump up and take a look. I think the squrerels taunt him and they knew he was watching. We had fun for a while spotting birds, deer and squirrels. We live in a good place.

Reading time!

Claire has been wanting Henry to be wherever we are. I just cart him around and he does whatever we are into. She has been really into reading (more so than usual) since moving to her big girl bed. Here she is reading Henry the bible. Mostly she is just talking about the animals and colors, but nonetheless, a good message is being delivered!

It's Love

I was anxious about how Claire would react to Henry coming home. She was nervous meeting him for the first time, but I think that had more to do with mom being in a strange bed in the hospital. She couldn't understand why I couldn't get up and hold her (I had an epidural). But bringing him home she was very excited about. She has been very loving and gentle. Every morning after waking she asks "Where's Henry?". She goes in to find him sleeping in my bed and she just ooo's and ahhh's over him. She likes to watch his diaper being changed which means she is constantly moving around her stool so she can peek at him whatever height he is at. She even climbs onto the kitchen counter to watch him sleep. I am sure the honeymoon phase will end, but for now, I am enjoying her new found love.
