Claire's first Christmas!

Christmas morning was so much fun with her. She woke around 7 am (which is early for her), she was lying next to me, she looked up at me with a big grin, reached for my face and just watched me. A few minutes later, she closed her eyes, and fell peacefully back to sleep, it was a wonderful moment, and a glorious way to start Christmas morning. We had a busy day, going to my parents in the morning, had the afternoon to ourselves and off to Spencer's families for dinner. It is so nice to be able to spend the day with BOTH our families, we really are blessed!

Her first present!

Claire got to open a Christmas present early, an ornament from Grandma and Grandpa (my parents). Uncle Zach helped her, she was very much into the bows and eating the wrapping paper! It was definately fun to watch her!

Claire has really enjoyed her bumbo more and more. I put her in front of the tree and she started cooing, I like to call it singing! She seemed to enjoy herself for quite sometime!!

Time to get our tree!

It is very exciting to get our first family Christmas tree! We bundled up Claire and went to the egg farm (we always go there) and picked out the tree Claire smiled at! She has good taste, the tree did turn out beautiful! We have a little tradition of getting Spencer's mom her tree too, so we picked out one for her, delivered it and helped her decorate it! It was a busy afternoon, but now the house finally feels like Christmas!

Christmas Parade

My good friend Pam and I went to the Victorian Christmas Parade in Jacksonville, can't believe I had never been. It was very cold out, but worth it. Claire got to see Santa for the very first time, but I think she may have been asleep already. Needless to say, we had a good time, she enjoyed looking at the lights and hanging out in the front pack!

You tube... just Baby Einstein!

Thought I would see how she liked Baby Einstein, she liked it for about 1 min, if that, and then decided it was scary, she started crying and made her sad face. Needless to say, we haven't watched it since! She does love the TV, I have to be careful when it is on and keep her occupied with something else. She also likes to watch me on the computer, maybe it is the bright lights!

Tummy Time!

She sure is getting stronger all the time. We keep hoping she will roll over soon, she did back in October 2x, but we think it was just a fluke (I think she was trying to escape the dog licking her face!). Just showing of how adorable she is!

Ashland Greenhouses

We made a trip out to Ashland Greenhouses, our good friends Ben and Kelly purchased the business last year. I thought it would be great to have our photos taken with all the poinsettias before they were shipped out. Unfortunately, Spencer was in school that day, so it is just Claire and I. She was really tired that morning, so we couldn't get here smiling, however it was still fun to go out an shoot!

Claire is getting so big, it is unbelievable! She recently discovered the bumbo chair, and she loves to sit in it! It is nice becuase she can sit at the table with us, so I can enjoy a hot meal (a rarity for moms right!?) Her personality is developing more every day, she really is a happy baby. We love when we can get her to smile big, showing all her gums! Our little toothless wonder! We are looking forward to the holidays and all the excitment that comes with that!

Happy Halloween!

Claire had a fun, quiet Halloween. We celebrated at Spencer's Mom's on Tuesday, and came by my parents on Halloween night. Then we headed over to our friends Matt and Tracey's house, (we have spent the last 4 Halloweens with them). They also had a baby in August, so we had a good time hanging with them, enjoying pizza and wine and admiring Claire and Addysen. More pictures will come, my camera died when we got to Matt and Tracey's :(

My mom just recently turned 50 and for her gift we had family portraits done. A friend of mine does them (she did our wedding) and we love her work. Here are just a few she took!

Pretty in Pink

It has been a while since my last update. Sorry, I have been working a little more than anticipated which leaves me less time to be here telling you about all the wonders of our little girl!

She is almost 3 months now, time sure does fly by. We have been enjoying her daily smiles, she has plenty for everyone. I can't wait till she starts laughing, she does in her sleep sometimes and it is just the sweetest thing! Her last Dr. appt, our little one weighed in at 13 pounds and 23.5 inches. She is growing every day like a weed! Her eyes are the most beautiful blue, Spencer says she has his grandpa's eyes!

On the days I work, Claire spends the day with her Grandma's. Here is a picture that Grandma Sher-Sher captured so beautifully!

Our trip to Napa

We had a great family adventure to Napa. My parents have a time share and they booked a beautiful 3 bedroom condo in Windsor. My brothers and sister were able to come and we had a great time. It was a short trip, but we saw and tasted a lot of wonderful things! It really was a great time, lots of quality family time. We spent the first day in Russian River Valley, it was beautiful. Our fav winery we found was Zuchichi, everyone loved it. We got to do some barrell tastings there.

The next day we went to Napa, kind of a windy trip for us in the back of the Suburban :). We got to see some amazing winerys, the big ones, and go on some great tours.

Claire was well loved (okay, a little spoiled). Her uncles are sure in love with her. They sat by her in the car an were always holding her hands, it was pretty cute!

All in all, a great first trip for Claire, she is such a good baby, we are so blessed!
